Even Santa looks uncomfortable!

We had the best Christmas this year. We started early with a visit home to Missouri where we even got to see some of our extended family from Kansas City and Australia!  That was a treat. It was also really special that we got to see Alex and Lindsay who now live in LA. We miss them a lot and I got lots of hugs on them before we left. 

We all went to church to hear Sarah and her beautiful voice singing Gesu Bambino. Just gorgeous. Made me cry. I also cried when I couldn't stop laughing after Carter sneezed directly into Sarah's face while she was holding him.  I don't know what came over me, but I got the "church giggles" and just could not stop!  Dad was none too pleased.

After church we decided it would be a fun idea to take all the kids to get a picture with Santa.  It....did not go that well. See for yourself.

Mara was just BORED with the situation and a little irked that we were forcing her to pose. Reaghan loved it. Harper was excited up until the moment we plopped her into Santa's lap. Carter was mad from the get go and we never could calm him down.  Ahhhhh, what a great memory. The guys loved it too. They can't wait for a Santa picture repeat next year.  Not.

Halloween

Once again. I couldn't really get Harper to hold still for a photo, but here she is dressed as a San Diego zoo keeper. She LOVED trick or treating and insisted on walking the entire way! She didn't care for the candy, but she was a pro at ringing the door bell and saying "treat?!"

BOY! We are due with our little man around Easter weekend 2011. We are still so surprised we are having a boy. We haven't decided on the name yet but I will keep you posted!

Harper's school picture!

I can't believe how cute this turned out. Harper is so busy nowadays. I can't ever get her to sit still! This is one of the best photos she has ever taken.

Harper turns ONE!

I have done a terrible job updating this and as soon as I can get Brad off his crutches (ankle surgery in February) my one and only project is going to be pictures pictures pictures. I need to get a photo album put together from 2009 and want to put some of my favorite pictures on here.  To keep things at least moving forward, here is a great snapshot of Harper turning one! Her birthday was on a Saturday so it was really fun to celebrate with friends and family on her actual birthday.  Even a blizzard didn't keep the crowd away! It was a great time. The grandparents got together and gave her this pink piano. She loves it!

Harper's 9 month check-up

Harper is 16lbs, 5oz and 28.5 inches long. That is 6th percentile in weight (up one percent from last time) and 67th percentile in height. hmmmm, who does that sound like?  They pricked her finger to take a blood sample and other than a small little whimper as the nurse technician squeezed to drip the blood, Harper didn't make a sound! She just looked a little confused and made a face that said, "Excuse me, I'd like my hand back."  Her blood count was normal and showed no anemia. Healthy as a horse! A long and lean horse. One that is destined to win the Kentucky Derby and solve world hunger, etc....
 She did, however, have a double ear infection so we are taking another round of antibiotics. She is doing much better and isn't waking up at night anymore. I had attributed her waking up at night to teething because she is getting her two top teeth and I think also some lateral incisors on the bottom. We'll see!
 Oh, and I entered her recent bathtub picture in the Gerber Beautiful Baby contest on the Regis and Kelly show. They may disqualify her for excessive cuteness. It wouldn't be fair to the other babies, but we'll see. It was a terrible picture quality because it was on my camera phone. I hope they won't hold that against her, but some of the other babies (who require photoshop to aid in their cuteness) may have an edge in photo quality. I'll keep you posted.
